How Does Composite Decking Work?

Made from recycled materials, composite decking was designed to make maintaining a deck easier. Manufactured to resemble the appearance of wood, byproducts from the lumber industry such as sawdust, wood chips, are combined with recycled plastics to create the material used for composite decking.

When manufactured, all of the components are mixed together, and coloring and preservation are added. Once the perfect mixture is made, it is heated and formed to resemble wood planks  we see in everyday lumber. The finished wood plank is heavier than a regular wood plank, but the benefits are outweighing as well.

Composite decking reduces the maintenance of your deck significantly. Meaning, there is no need to paint, sand, seal or stain a composite deck once constructed. Also, unlike regular wood decks, composite decking does not warp, rot, or best of all, will not give you splinters when walking barefoot across your dream deck!
